This article scientifically analyzes the role and importance of martial arts in developing the physical fitness of girls studying in military educational institutions. The effectiveness of martial arts training in developing strength, agility, endurance, dexterity and coordination skills is highlighted. During the study, a pedagogical experiment was conducted with the participation of 60 female cadets studying in a military educational institution. Special martial arts exercises were systematically introduced into the training of the experimental group. The results showed that hand-to-hand combat training, along with physical qualities, significantly develops psychological stability, determination, and self-defense skills
