Abstract

The emotional arousal of the player is one of the necessary aspects of the psychological side of the team and the player, especially team games such as basketball, football and volleyball are games that require this psychological factor, as it affects many aspects, including the player’s skill performance. Therefore, the increase or decrease in the level of arousal leads to the disruption of the player’s skill performance. The deficiency that occurs in these needs will lead to a state of tension and psychological instability for the player and perhaps a state of frustration in the event that these needs continue to be not satisfied. This will not only affect the player himself, but also the course of the game for the team, as the speed of that team and its results, especially in a team game such as volleyball, basketball and football, as the speed of emotions is likely to affect the level of concentration of the player and thus his accuracy in performance and scoring points, which is what the results of the matches depend on, as it is one of the most important factors of competition that modern team games have proven, and which consists of the most important foundations that contribute to the team’s achievement of the prestigious sporting achievement. From here, we may ask about the level of emotional response among the players of the Tikrit University team in volleyball, basketball and football. And its relationship to the performance of these players.
